On Wednesday, at approximately 1:38 pm in the Town of Canandaigua emergency crews responded to the intersection of Sand Hill Road and Emerson Road for the report of a two car crash with injuries. Deputies say a vehicle traveling northbound on Sand Hill Road failed to yield the right of way to a vehicle that was westbound on Emerson Road. The vehicle on Sand Hill Road was being operated by Marie R. Sullivan, 74, of Ontario — while the vehicle on Emerson Road was being operated by Joan A. William, 62, of Palmyra. Williams was transported to FF Thompson Hospital with minor injuries by Canandaigua Ambulance and Sullivan was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, as well. She was also ticketed for failing to yield the right of way to Sullivan.
